Towards Formalized Adaptation Patterns for Adaptive Interactive Systems

چکیده

A design pattern provides a general and proven solution for a recurring problem. Design patterns are an established approach in the domain of software engineering. Collections of such patterns also exist for graphical interfaces and adaptive hypertext. However, a collection of patterns for adaptive interactive systems does not exist. This paper presents such a collection to provide structured knowledge about applying adaptations to interactive systems. In addition, a formalization of these patterns using semantic technologies is presented as well as the application of these formalizations in an adaptation framework.

Comparison Between Unsupervised and Supervise Fuzzy Clustering Method in Interactive Mode to Obtain the Best Result for Extract Subtle Patterns from Seismic Facies Maps

Pattern recognition on seismic data is a useful technique for generating seismic facies maps that capture changes in the geological depositional setting. Seismic facies analysis can be performed using the supervised and unsupervised pattern recognition methods. Each of these methods has its own advantages and disadvantages. In this paper, we compared and evaluated the capability of two unsuperv...

A Decomposition Model for the Layered Evaluation of Interactive Adaptive Systems

A promising approach towards evaluating adaptive systems is to decompose the adaptation process and evaluate the system in a “piece-wise” manner. This paper presents a decomposition model that integrates two previous proposals. The main “stages” identified are: (a) collection of input data, (b) interpretation of the collected data, (c) modeling of the current state of the “world”, (d) deciding ...

Determination of adaptive responses of peanut genotypes and patterns of genotype × location interaction using the CSM-CROPGRO-Peanut model

The adaptive responses of crop genotypes and patterns of genotype x location (G x L) interaction are important to crop improvement as they are the basis for selection for specific adaptation and for elucidation of the causes of G x L interaction. Their legitimate assessment, however, requires yield data for the test genotypes for a large number of sites and over multiple years. Such data are se...

Improving the Resilience of Military Hospitals Through Self-Adaptation of Hospital Systems Using Organic Computing

Background and Aim: Among the failures of a disaster, the disruption of the critical infrastructure of the community causes the most damage to society. Therefore, the ability of critical infrastructure such as hospitals to anticipate, absorb, adapt or rapidly recover from a devastating event is essential. The purpose of this study is to design a self-adaptive model for resilient hospital system...

Adaptation Model for Indoor Exergames

In this paper we propose an approach towards adaptive long-term motivating and physically demanding exergames for indoor training. Various previous approaches have been using ergometers (especially ergometer bikes) in interactive applications (mostly virtual cycling simulations) since decades, nevertheless exertainment applications for indoor training are not applied in a broad range. In this p...
